Vivo IPL 2019 Auction will be held on 17 & 18 December in Jaipur. IPL Auction 2019 will start on 16th December. Indian Premier League season 12th bidding will have 1125 players according to sources. A massive 1125 players including the likes of Chris Gayle, Yuvraj Singh, Joe Root, and Shane Watson have signed up on expected lines to be part of the upcoming IPL auction, the BCCI announced.

IPL 2019 Auction:  The Indian Premier League 2019 player auction is set to get bigger. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) intimate to be targetting bigger viewership and revenue with a new time slot for IPL 12th season 12 player auction.

The auctions used to start from 10 AM in the morning for the past editions, it is expected to start at 3 pm this year to maximize primetime viewership, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror.

The IPL 2019 auction will be held on December 18 as per the report. The auction is expected to start at 3 PM and will end by 9:30 pm. The date has been strategically planned as December 18th is the day of the final day of the second Test between India and Australia at Perth. The auctions will take place in Jaipur on this year.

PLAYERS TRANSFER BEFORE AUCTION 2019

Mumbai Indians, who have won the Indian Premier League on three occasions have released 10 players ahead of IPL 2019. The date for the players to be retained and released coming to an end on Thursday, the Mumbai think tank took to Twitter to make the list official. While Akila Dananjaya and Mustafizur Rahman were already released by the franchise, Mumbai Indians also released eight more players in Saurabh Tiwary, Pradeep Sangwan, Mohsin Khan, MD Nidheesh, Sharad Lumba, Tajinder Singh Dhillon, JP Duminy, Pat Cummins.

The former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock was snapped by Mumbai Indians team in an all-money deal. It means that Rohit Sharma & Co did not exchange a player with RCB to bring add De Kock to their agenda. Although, they released the duo of Mustafizur Rahman and Akila Dananjaya.
